TADI PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Distinguished colleagues,
I am pleased and proud to be addressing you here at a meaningful point in the history of modern dentistry. We mark the end of the first decade of a new millennium with advances so significant as to change the face of our profession and in a more literal way, change the faces and improve the health of millions around the world now and in the years to come.
Implant dentistry started half a century ago with the discovery of osseointegration of a titanium screw and living bone. Without scientific back up implantology could not have been progressing on the top line in dentistry until now.
This symposium consists of more than just a gathering of scientists, practitioners, and professionals, it represents a turning point in the dispensing of healthcare in the form of better dentistry, with its base here in Bangkok, Thailand. We are witness to a gathering momentum of great advances in our field and I am proud to be among you at this time to appreciate the wealth of ideas that we all have to share at this event. Welcome to the symposium and our beautiful city of Bangkok.
